Margiela Spring 1990
Spring 1990 collection was shown on the Paris suburbs. It was the first Margiela show within the schedule of Parisian Fashion Week. Invitations for the guests were drawn by kids living in the neighbourhood where the show took place. Margiela told his crew a few styling guides before the show, they were: give the models anything but a haircut (messy, not cared about hairstyles) and worn make up. Same exact Tabi boots from the last season were worn on the 'runway'.

Conclusions
In this collection, Margiela continued his exploration of uncommon places and through his show in the suburbs area. Kids that he met in this place helped him to create invitations and then attended to the show with their families. It was VERY unusual in the 1990's to do such a thing. One more time Margiela proofed everybody that he is not just another fashion designer showing his clothes in the format that was seen as normal, but was experimenting with it and expressed his creative visions in his original way.
Tank top mentioned before was squeezed under the sheer shirt with the intention of mimicking the haute couture dresses. It is a perfect example of how Margiela was creating his clothing and the approach he had on it. He was really trying to comment on what is going on in the fashion world and have his own take on it. Referencing and transforming to his own style is one of the things that made him such a great designer.
