Starting of the 2021 Spring Term

During this term, my studies at the University will be expanded by the Art Portfolio module. I am extremely inspired by Hannah Stote and her amazing work in the fashion industry to create even better projects this term. I have been following her brand online presence for a while now, and I am happy to have her as somebody to look up to. Because of the fact that I am very much interested in knitwear, her work is a true source of knowledge and inspiration for me. 

Hannah Stote

Hannah Stote is a sustainable knitwear fashion designer based in Bournemouth and graduated from Bath Spa University. She was awarded the Catwalk Knitwear Award at 2019 GFW for her traditional fishing villages inspired collection. She has reused British wool and unraveled yarns from vintage jumpers for her collection. Through her smart material choices, she was able to create truly eco friendly and sustainable line of clothing that was outstanding enough to win the best knitwear collection award of the year. Her aim for creating sustainable clothing is to maximalise the reduction of garment's ecological footprint and to help local (British) businesses by cooperating with them and showing the great quality of the British yarns.
